The
following memo briefly describes the functionality of
these modules in brief.
Sales
& Dispatch
The Sales module of Textile Mill Solution is very
comprehensive. Inquiry, Quotation, Order Processing,
Dispatches etc form the regular sales system. Apart from
these Consignment Sales and Depot Sales details are also
automated. Financial and statutory records like sales
tax, excises are fully taken care of.
Purchase
The
General Purchase module supports purchase of various
categories of items other than raw materials. Purchase
of materials with or without delivery schedules, local,
import, with MODVAT claims where possible are some of
the important facilities. With a link to
the maintenance and planning module most of the
purchases can be streamlined with an order. System can
also generate consumption-based stock replenishing
purchase order at pre-defined time/planning
periods.
Raw
materials
The
Raw Material Purchase module takes care of Cotton and
other raw material purchases. The modules covers areas
like Purchase Confirmation, Arrivals, Mill weighment,
Purchase Invoicing, Mixing Issues, Waste Analysis, and
Waste Sales etc.
With
a direct link to the QC department and by maintaining
various quality parameters, mixing issues based on the
count and cost becomes a simpler and scientific
method.

Sub-Contracting
The
sub-contracting or jobber module supports manufacturing and
other process to be done by out-side agencies. The system
takes care of WIP stock at various work-centers in different
stages. The system also keeps track of the jobber cost and
automatically generates the bill passing statement for the
contractor. All the necessary statutory statement like TDS,
excise forms etc are generated from the system. The quality of
work done by various contractors is also monitored and an ABC
analysis is made as per the ISO
standards.
Quality
Control
The
Q.C module facilitates the inspection of materials at various
stages viz., Raw materials, in-progress at in-house and at
jobber place, waste generated, finished product. Apart from
these spares and replacement items are also covered under Q.C.
The system has the facility to define and monitor quality
specifications for each and every component and process. The
system can accept or reject any particular lot. Q.C reports
form the basis of vendor assessment also.
Production
The
production module maintains various records on department
basis. Stage wise utilization and efficiency is monitored.
Waste generated at various stages along with quality
inspection is also taken care of. Production scheduling,
capacity planning, stoppage analysis and utilization
percentage analysis are some of the benefits of this
system.
Stores
The
solution supports multi-level, multi-location stores and even
sub-stores. All
the materials coming in and going out of the mill can be
tracked. With
advanced tools like JIT inventory the dead-inventory and
stock-out situations are eliminated. Various valuation methods
like Weighted Avg, FIFO, LIFO etc are available. Stores
budgeting and controls also can be
incorporated.
Excise
All
excise related heads are taken care like RG23-A (Part 1, Part
2), RG23-C (Part1, Part 2), PLA and RG-1 register. Duty calculation and
MODVAT credit utilization are also
included.
Finance
All
the essential features that allow maintaining the financial
accounting at your fingertips are brought to you. You can
maintain cashbook, purchases, sales, receivables, payables,
journals, cash flow, fund flow and practically everything that
has to be kept track of.
Cost center wise, individual account group wise;
profitability reports can also be maintained. Budgeting and
controls both on cost center and revenue account basis can be
done. Using cost
center wise profitability reports we can analyze profitability
figures for individual counts of
yarn.
HRD
The
HRD module maintains the complete employee management
system. The
system generates statutory reports of employees and updates
books of accounts. With integration to Attendance system,
(both manual and machine recorded) this module is highly
flexible and customizable. All statutory reports for Provident
Fund and Employee State Insurance are
incorporated.
Costing
The
Product costing is linked with Raw materials, Production,
Sub-Contracting and Quality Control. Cost Planning of the
products based on standard input is also to be
done.
